The First Step Is Admitting You Have A Problem

At a campaign rally for Barbara Boxer in San Francisco, Hillary Clinton stated:

Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you," Sen. Clinton said. "We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

Emphasis added. Unbelievable. This perfectly exemplifies the fundamental difference between Republicans and Democrats, Liberals and Conservatives. If you see nothing wrong with the statements the Senator made there is a problem. Hillary Clinton does not see the United States government as being as, by, and for the people. She does not see herself as a servant of the people. To her the government is the great body that doles out rights, money and freedoms to the people. “We are going to take things away from you…” A clear distinction between the people and the government, and the philosophy of the modern Democratic Party: We and they, and the government owns your money.
