Terry McAuliffe, Chairman of The DNC, Believes Michael Moore Film

Does the average American realize how dangerous this is?. The chairman of the Democratic national Committee, as reported by Byron York in National Review:

McAuliffe and a number of other prominent Democrats attended a screening of Moore's new documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, at the Uptown Theatre in Washington Wednesday night. McAuliffe called the film "very powerful, much more powerful than I thought it would be." When asked by National Review Online if he believed moor's account of the war in Afghanistan, McAuliffe said, " I believe it after seeing that." The DNC chairman added that he had not heard of the idea before seeing the movie, but said he would "check it out myself and look at it, but there are a lot of interesting facts that he [Moore] brought out today that none of us knew about."

A short time later, McAuliffe was asked by CNN, "Do you think the movie was essentially fair and factually based?" "I do," McAuliffe said. "I think anyone who goes to see this movie will come out en masse and vote for John Kerry. Clearly the movie makes it clear that George Bush is not fit to be president of this country."

The irresponsibility of the movie goes without saying, and the fact that prominent members of the Democratic party attended this movie is inexcusable. The fact that head of the Democratic National Committee is willing to say that he believes what he saw is dangerous. The Democratic party is now actively engaged in trying to undermine the war by destroying support for the war at home. It is obvious that Terry McAuliffe is making his statements in order to bring down the President. He most likely does not consider what he said to be undermining the war, but is this what the Democratic party has come to? Supporting a film hatched in the fever swamps of conspiracy on the far left wing fringe of the most rabid anti-war, anti-US, anti-capitalist factions in this country? Where are the responsible Democrats!? How can any responsible Democrat stay silent while their party spirals publicly into black helicopter theories about non-existent pipelines? This country is at war with people who want to do us mass harm. They killed 3,000 people on September 11th, if they could have killed every American they would have. Does Terry McAuliffe believe that was part of a conspiracy to allow us to go into Afghanistan? Does John Kerry believe that? This comes on a day when the head of the Iraqi Survey Group, the team in Iraq searching for Weapons of Mass Destruction, reports that al least a dozen Sarin shells have been found and that the terrorists are actively seeking to use the chemical weapons material in Iraq and the intellectual property of Iraqi scientists to build more weapons. Is this revelation part of some grand conspiracy? The Democratic party has now gone off the edge. They are willing to bet the credibility of the entire party on a propaganda attack film. The Democratic Party of our fathers and grandfathers no longer exists. It has been replaced by a fringe group from the far left. This party is bankrolled by groups like moveon.org and people like George Soros. It no longer participates in politics, but uses a film like Fahrenheit 9/11 to sway peoples opinion by feeding on their emotions. This is what is at stake in this election. One party is intent on fighting the war that was declared on the United States many years ago, and came to a head on September 11th. The other party is investing its capital and resources in supporting a film that says none of that is true and the real enemy is in the white house. The film will have one of two effects. Either it will do as Terry McAulife says and drive naive voters to John Kerry, or it will galvanize the nation behind George Bush, as voters come to realize that the Democratic party is not capable of leading the country through the current war. This is a war for the survival of civilization as we know it. Our enemies are actively seeking, and are close to getting nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. We can be sure that as soon as they do they will use them to kill as many Americans as possible, and they will not distinguish between those who have seen the Michael Moore film and those who have not.
