96,000 Payroll Jobs Added

The economy added 96,000 payroll jobs in September, less than the 148,000 forecasted by economists. The four hurricanes in the month held down job creation. However, the labor department added 236,000 jobs to the total for the year ending in March.

John Kerry will attempt to use the numbers to say the economy is in terrible shape. In his asertion he will continue to act as though September 11th never happened. His cries of doom and gloom will fall on deaf ears considering that personal incomes are upo, the unemployment rate is below where it was when President Clinton ran for re-election in 1996 and home ownership is at an all time high.
